Lamb Elementary School located at 46 Schoolhouse Road in North Hanover Township. Mr. Sullivan called the meeting to order at approximately 6:45 PM and read the Open Public Meetings Act announcement and a salute to the Flag. On a motion by Mrs. Johnson, seconded by Mrs. Geibel, the meeting was adjourned into Executive (closed) Session. Policy is either going to be set for us or by us. Legislative members suggested that boards pass resolutions and provide any information they are asked for. Hot topics—funding, subcontracting and teacher evaluation. 2) Impact Aid Bill was pulled because there was substantial objection to the retroactive clause. Will be introduced in the next session in the fall. 3) Old computers will be kept for PARCC testing. We may have to set up auxiliary labs. 4) Principal interviews—60 applications, 7 questions sent to 20 people. Six were invited for initial interview with administrative team. Five were brought back for second interview with some administration/teachers/BA using questions from UES teachers. At the end, there were two candidates on everyone’s list. Final interviews will be at 3 and 4 PM on Thursday, June 20. 5) Question—Board self-evaluation and District goal setting. Mr. Sullivan asked to wait for Mr. Schroeder. It is done online. 6) A UES student got to meet President Obama because of his writing. He was a winner of the essay writing contest for the wreath laying ceremony. Base leadership passed it along to the President and the student read it when the President landed at McGuire. 7) Colonel Korsey came to UES today to give the chorus a certificate of participation. 8) Promotion ceremony is Friday at 6:30 PM. Mrs. Bergevin thanked the Board for the opportunity to be the District Technology Facilitator for the last five years. She also distributed a packet which contained information pertaining to her duties.
