We are looking for degree qualified team players with a sound Engineering, Materials Science or Physics related educational background (ideally 2:1 or above), with an interest in the use and processing of composite materials. A tailor-made training programme will supply the successful candidates with an in-depth knowledge of composite materials, ranging from product development, materials production through to component design and manufacture. This will allow you to work closely within the Composite Processing Team in a responsive manner to support customer needs and develop new products for which an understanding of the analytical and mechanical techniques used to characterise composites or polymer materials would be advantageous. The roles will involve a series of business related technical projects to be undertaken in relevant departments and will include a visit to at least one other Gurit site. In addition training in the form of Design for Six Sigma Greenbelt and Training4Success Modules will be provided for the successful candidates. These roles would ideally suit an ambitious graduate with a passion for composite technology combined with a keen interest in the markets that Gurit operates in. Due to the nature of this position, flexibility is essential, as a proportionate amount of travel may be involved. Excellent IT and literacy skills to facilitate the production of high quality communication and thoroughly researched reports would also be considered a distinct advantage.
