Classroom Notes:
 Field Trip News – Inside of your child’s take-home envelope is a Field Trip Form for our
February 17th Trip to the Honda Center to participate in the Ducks First Flight
Educational Field Trip. Please look over these papers carefully; all forms are due this
Friday, February 6.
 Keep flashing the multiplication flash cards! It is so important to go over these each night.
 Semester Awards: This Wednesday, in the Event Center at 9:15 AM, we will have the
Semester Awards for grades K-5. Awards will include Perfect Church, Attendance, A.R. Goals,
and Checkers Tournament Winners. Please join us.
 As of this week, students will start taking their pre-test for spelling in both cursive and
printing. Lap One Only of the spelling relay will now be done in cursive. You will also notice
that LAPS 2 and 3 are now different! Students are also required to use their spelling words in
complete sentences. PLEASE LOOK OVER THE SENTENCES for proper punctuation,
capitalization, sentence structure and spelling. This is a very important skill for each student
to master. Students should circle the spelling word used in the sentence.
 We are starting our unit on Orange County History in Social Studies this week. It will be
exciting to learn about the many places/landforms we have in O.C.
 In your child’s take home envelope is the class list for your Valentines……Don’t forget to include
all of your classmates.
 Keep saving Box-tops! We do have a Box-top container in our classroom! Many thanks!
 And YES! I still love my Seahawks 
