Math Lesson Plan
A. Introduce “My SAT Study Plan to students . Then introduce some strategies before
answering the test. (Please read before teaching or guiding students through this lesson
the “Scoring Your Test.” Lastly, proceed the lesson with the following suggestions. If

SAT Math Section
SAT math exam is a standardized test for academic success in college to evaluate
student's ability of reason qantitatively
solve mathematical problem and interpret data presented in graphical form on a scale of
200-800.
- Math sections focus on five areas of mathematics:
arithmetic, algebra and functions, geometry, trigometry and
data analysis.
- The SAT employs two different question types:
a. The multiple-choice questions carry a .25 point penalty
for incorrect answers.
b. The grid-in questions carry no penalty for wrong
answers.
- The format of the three sections is:
a. 25 minutes: 20 Multiple Choice questions
b. 25 minutes: 8 Multiple Choice questions followed by 10
Grid-ins.
c. 20 minutes: 16 Multiple Choice questions
