UNITY IV - CHIMAERA Hybrid Rocket Project: 2000 – present, Logan, UT
 Worked on a team to design flight termination, recovery, and portable launch systems.
 Helped fabricate and conduct tests on oxidizer, air frame, termination, recovery, propulsion, and
launch systems.
 Team co-lead for launch systems and testing.
 Collaborated with UofU & BYU teams to launch the 20’ Unity rocket to 4,100 ft. (AGL) in 2003.
 Currently in design, fabrication and testing of new 24’ Chimaera rocket for a spring 2005 launch.
 Co-authored an AIAA published paper.
USU NASA Get Away Special Research Team: 2002 – 2004, Logan, UT
 Worked on design, fabrication, testing, and result analysis of GAS payloads flown on the Shuttle.
 Worked on design, fabrication, and testing of the ISO-CRATE experimental platform—a small selfcontained platform with data acquisition capabilities intended for missions similar in nature to the
GAS Shuttle payloads but targeted for 6 month deployments on the International Space Station.
