Please use the Blackboard interface for email to the professor as well to turn in all written
work. The Blackboard interface is available at: http://ecampus.fiu.edu.
ASSIGNMENTS: All copy must be typed in Word and edited for typos and spelling errors before
they are submitted. (If you do not have Word, please let me know so that we can work
something out. But you must let me know before the first written assignment is due.) Please,
please, please proof your work before you turn it in. Written work is graded for content and
then grades are reduced for grammatical errors. If you are not familiar with the rules of
English grammar then visit our Writing Center.
All assignments must be turned in via the Blackboard assignment tool. All assignments are at or
before the beginning of class. Late assignments lose points and must be turned in no later than
7 days from the assigned date to receive any credit. Save a copy of all assignments both before
and after grading.
A NOTE ABOUT IN-CLASS ASSIGNMENTS: All in-class assignments must be complete in class.
These cannot be made up.
Homework should be pasted in the assignment area in Blackboard. Projects should be
uploaded as attachments.
A NOTE ABOUT HOMEWORK: Homework is due before class the day it is due, the homework
closes in Blackboard at 5:30 PM on the day it is due. If you are absent from that class I will not
