Kemper Corporation (2006-Present)

Executive Facilitation - Facilitated 3 day leadership conference for over 300 executives and senior leaders from six
Kemper companies. Also facilitated a 2 day finance summit for 18 senior accounting and finance executives from
the same organizations. Each engagement included detailed summary reports and action plans.

Organizational Development - Created a comprehensive leadership development roadmap in support of four
property and casualty insurance companies. Roadmap was integrated into an overall Human Capital Management
System and included a multi-tiered leadership development plan, “core competency” model and comprehensive
set of leadership development matrices based on the 70-20-10 performance improvement methodology.

Strategic Planning - Implemented a detailed six month project plan to establish a multi-company training
department. Conducted comprehensive needs analysis for 3000 employees, establishing an integrated learning
management system with new training, budgetary and administrative processes, saving more than $295,000.00.

Learning Systems Design - Created an extensive multi-company "Corporate University" to host classroom
instruction, virtual and self-paced learning, and functional job aids and resources. With 2200 training courses to
choose from, it averaged more than 4200 hours of instructor led training and self-paced learning annually.

High Performance Management - Designed 4-part high performance management training program. In support of
the project, personally authored a (proficiency based) leadership competency model, performance management
roadmap, development planning templates, and change management and accountability models.

Employee Engagement - Key member of Employee Engagement Steering Committee. Personally designed and
implemented company-wide engagement assessments, executive reports and action plans for improving morale
and engagement in six offices across the country. As a result, the committee was able to implement over 180
employee workplace improvement suggestions.

Onboarding and Orientation - Utilized corporate university to streamline employee onboarding and compliance
training procedures for 4 companies. Created multiple self-paced multimedia compliance training programs
including Essential Standards of Conduct, Security Awareness, Records and Information Management, Employee
Handbook and Benefits Orientations.

Vendor Management - Established detailed RFP's to consolidate multiple e-learning contracts. The resulting
combined contract extended learning access to 760 new users, increased utilization by 41%, and saved over
$25,000.00 in additional licensing costs.
CSX Transportation & Technology (2001-2006)

Training Management -Managed an annual technology training budget of $800,000.00. Negotiated and managed
multiple vendor agreements, providing over 11,000 training hours per year at an average annual savings of 38% in
training design and delivery costs.

ROI and Training Analysis - Established a multi-level training analysis (ROI) and reporting dashboard to measure
key training metrics, skills retention, and workplace application. Tied to over a dozen measures and statistics;
achieved average participant improvement of up to 85% in KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities).

Curriculum Design & Delivery - Developed a 4-day leadership and professional development training program for
delivery to 33,000 employees across 12 states. Course addressed multiple topics including; core values,
communications, team building, coaching, accountability, customer service, conflict management, problem solving,
productivity and diversity.

Process Improvement - Completely restructured a failing training department within first 60 days as CSX Manager
of Training and Development. Designed new training database and authored departmental training plans for 600
employees. Designed formal training processes and vendor management procedures.
