Access database All data in ICPC-2e-v.3.0 are available in the data files described in chapter 2. The Access database version described here is just another data format with the same content. Skills in Access are required to use the database. Microsoft Office Access 2003 is the software version used. 1.1. Database content The Access database contains four tables and one query: Table name: Description: ICPC-2 This is the current version of ICPC-2e-v.3.0 This table corresponds exactly to the data file ICPC-2e-v.3.0-all-fields.txt The data file ICPC-2e-v.3.0-tabular list-short titles.txt was generated from this table. This document was updated on November 23, 2005. Table name: Description: ICD-10-ICPC-2 mapping table This is the explicit mapping table between ICPC-2 and ICD-101. This table corresponds to the data file ICPC-2e-v.3.0-ICD-10.txt Changes January 2005 This table contains all the changes in version ICPC2e-v.3.0 compared to the previous version, that is, version ICPC-2e-v.2.0. The table contains all the mappings to ICD-10, but of course not all mappings have undergone a change. Only changed mappings have a change description. Query name: Description: Only Changes January 2005 The table “Changes January 2005” contains all mappings between ICPC-2 and ICD-10, but of course not all mappings have undergone a change. This query extracts and presents the 653 actual changes. 1.2. The Change log The changes from the previous version of ICPC-2 are documented in table “Changes January 2005”. This table contains the following data fields: Field name: Description: Change This value is empty if no change has been carried out for the given ICPC-2 code. The value is “+” if the change regards only ICPC-2 and not the mapping to ICD-10. The value is “*” if the change regards the mapping to ICD-10. ICD-10 The actual ICD-10 code (only when the change logged regards a change in the mapping between the two classifications). 1 This version of ICD-10 contains all WHO updates up to January 2005, see http://www.who.int/classifications/icd/icd10updates/en/index.html 2 Field name: Description: ICPC-2 The ICPC-2 code. Action Describes the change that has taken place either for the ICPC-2 rubrics or for the ICPC-2-ICD-10 mapping. If the change regards the mapping to ICD-10 there are typically four kinds of changes: - Add – a new mapping - Delete – a mapping that has been deleted - Add broken open – a new mapping to a 4 character long ICD-10 code. - Delete broken open – mappings between 4 character ICD-10 codes and ICPC-2 have been deleted. Source Person or organization who proposed the change. Status The value is WICC if the change has been decided by WICC or the WICC Update Group. From January 2005 decisions by the WICC Update Group should be marked WICC UG. Datum All the changes in this revision (ICPC-2e-v.3.0) are dated January 25th 2005. 2. Data files The data files use the CSV syntax (comma separated values file format). This means that each record is usually on one line except when some text value contains a line feed. Each field in the record is separated by commas. All fields are delimited by doublequote characters except for empty fields. 2.1. ICPC-2e-v.3.0-tabular list-short titles.txt The file contains 726 codes with corresponding short titles. 3 Record description: Field name: Field data type: Field data type description: Code Text Length is 4 characters Short title Text No more than 36 characters Example from the data file: "B04","Blood symptom/complaint" 2.2. The alphabetical index is distributed with three csv data files: 1. ICPC-2e-v.3.0-alphabetical-index.txt – sorted by text 2. ICPC-2e-v.3.0-alphabetical-index.-inverse-columns.txt – sorted by codes 5 3. ICPC-2e-v.3.0-alphabetical-index.-error-log.txt – known errors in the current alphabetical index which have not yet been corrected The alphabetical index contains 2056 lines.
