Enabling the Borderless Branch
The way users access information is shifting. In the past, data and
applications were housed on premise, and users were also
generally on premise. Today, many organizations tap into talent
pools all around the world. Employees can work remotely and
applications can be hosted off site or even in the cloud.
Extending business borders around these resources can tax your
IT department. <<client>>’s IT team simply cannot scale when
every project is an exception to traditional IT design and
management practices. To remain competitive amid changing
business models and shifting business borders, <<client>>’s IT
needs a better way to scale and manage end-users while:

Increasing productivity: Mobility has progressed from an
employee request to a business necessity. Smartphones,
tablets, and other devices increase productivity and keep
business operating around the clock. IT must find a way to
accommodate multiple device types and operating systems,
enabling anywhere, anytime secure access to network
resources.

Enhancing collaboration: Collaboration is a crucial component
of any successful business. Businesses are trying to manage
OpEx and CapEx, while also increasing worker productivity.

Reducing costs: Separate voice, data, and wireless networks
that were originally designed to meet specific needs are
complex and costly to manage.

Improving operations: IT departments need to have the ability
to effectively manage, secure, and scale their networks,
services, and applications, while reducing their OpEx and
complying with energy-saving initiatives.

PVDM2 peers. For example, the number of supported mediumcomplexity codecs on a PVDM3-64 is 42, versus 32 on a
PVDM2-64.
• External memory, providing 512-megabit double-data-rate (DDR)
synchronous dynamic random access memory (SDRAM) for each
DSP
• Rich media application support with high-end PVDM3 modules,
such as the PVDM3-192 and PVDM3-256 provide scalable rich
media applications, helping to improve user experience and
quality. A PVDM3-256 can support up to 60 secure iLBC Time
Division Multiplexing IP (TDM-IP) voice sessions and up to thirty
8-party conferences with the high-fidelity wideband codec
