The Cold War: Requirements
I.
The presentations
 presentations are to be prepared for the date BEFORE their appointed
date (so that other groups can step into the breach if one group is
absent);
 presentations in pairs shouldn’t be longer than 15 minutes, 1 person =
not more than 10 minutes.
 prepare a transparency (no ppt, please… time!) with bullet points,
vocabulary annotations and your sources (wikipedia is NOT a reliable
source – always double-check your results);
 only cue cards allowed; no reading out; you must speak up, speak
slowly and look into your audience’s eyes!
 If you don’t manage to meet in preparation of the presentation, split up
the topic!
II.
The “fever curve” and the glossary
 add the events the presentations are about to your “fever curve”
worksheet;
 additionally, prepare a glossary of events (in alphabetical order) in
which you explain what the respective events were about (no key words);
 moreover, add your vocabulary list “Cold War” to your glossary.
