This reduced finished goods inventories by $3 million in 2-3 months, increased inventory visibility in the supply chain and combined the roles and responsibilities of the buyer/planners. Initiated and led a project to change six suppliers in Taiwan from monthly to weekly shipments. This reduced lead-times from 90 days to 48 days with shipments being consolidated and shipped direct to the remote distribution centers. Resulted in freight reductions of $7,000 a week from Cincinnati to two west coast warehouses. Lean advisor for the Manufactured Housing Research Alliance and HUD to implement lean into manufactured housing industry. National Academy of Sciences chose this as one of the top six projects for HUD in last 40 years. Led and facilitated combining fabrication and assembly for a new and old product line into one cellular manufacturing cell. Resulted in producing old product and new best selling product without adding personnel with a 71% productivity gain. Originally trained by Toyota consultants to implement TPS at SENCO Products, Inc. In 2 years reduced FGI on-hand balance from 3 to 6 months to 1 month and reduced W.I.P. by $6 million dollars. Also reduced 116 job descriptions to 12.
