Director of Facility Operations.
2013-2015
Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of over 850 retail shops across the United States. Also responsible for
the daily operations of the 150,000 sq ft Corporate Office, the Corporate Call Center, Corporate Repair center, and the
company warehouse. Responsible for the maintenance and repair, physical and electronic security, the mail center
needs, and the janitorial needs of all Cash America facilities. Led the Disaster Preparedness Team, wrote the tenant
agreement for Cash America’s tenants and took initial contracts and modified them for the legal team to examine and
refine. In addition, developed a Risk Management program for field operations. Managed 21 direct personnel reports
and 3 indirect personnel reports. Manage special projects as needed



Excelled in ability to work cross functionally with construction, operations, financial, real estate, and legal
departments within Cash America.
Responsible for a $14 million budget for Maintenance & Repair and a $2 million CAPEX for the retail operations
divisions.
Successfully made modifications to existing maintenance programs and saved Cash America over $4 million in
maintenance and repair costs over a 2 year period.

Held responsibility for all Racetrac and Raceway branded facilities in 13 states from Virginia, down the East Coast, and
back to Texas. Oversaw 57 direct reports and managed all aspects for over 600 retail facilities. Worked with other
cross-functional departments to ensure operability and profitability of the company's retail facilities. Held
responsibilities including supervision and development of team members and creating partnerships with outside
vendors to serve the company’s needs. Maintained working knowledge of local, state and federal requirements for
facility services, as well as safety and environmental issues throughout area of responsibility.




Demonstrated vision for problem solving, conflict resolution, and strategically placed personnel and resources to
obtain goals.
Led crisis management team serving Alabama area after massive tornadoes in April 2011. Saved Racetrac
approximately $60,000 by not outsourcing all maintenance needs. Maintained coordinated repair and logistical
supply line for fuel deliveries. Ninety percent of all facilities restored in five days.

Led crisis management teams in response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.

Managed maintenance needs of 45 retail facilities in DFW market. Held responsibilities including managing third party
vendors, in house technicians, budgeting for maintenance cost, handling invoicing, and environmental issues.
Supported construction and special projects, environmental (TCEQ and EPA) training for store employees. Provided
day-to-day support to operational personnel to maximize profitability.




Accountable for re-establishing operations in multiple crisis management situations throughout the region.
Responded to environmental damage crisis situations to arrange clean-up and maintain store operations.
Developed in-house training to meet TCEQ requirements for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Vapor Recovery. Saved
Racetrac approximately $90,000 versus outsourcing training
Developed maintenance inspection forms for use by other maintenance personnel to identify and correct
facility needs.

FINA OIL AND CHEMICAL, Dallas, Texas, Maintenance Manager, Retail Marketing Supervisor, 1984-1997. Joined
Fina Oil after purchase of Pep Oil Services franchise in 1984. Began as multi-unit store supervisor, and then joined
special projects team to select POS system for retail stores. Took over as Maintenance Supervisor in 1985, with
responsibility for all maintenance for company-operated retail facilities in DFW market. Supervised two employees;
managed invoicing. Coordinated third party vendors, budgeting, and supported construction projects to maintain all
facilities.
