Advanced Speech
Persuasive Speech Requirements
For the 5-7 minute persuasive speech, your goal is:
 To influence your audience to support your point of view or to take an action.
 To not only show the merit of your idea, but to also refute the opposition.
 To clearly organize and deliver the information you plan to present.
 To use credible evidence to support your speech.
 To engage your audience through the use of strong verbal and nonverbal communication strategies.
You will need to complete and turn in the following no later than one day after you have presented your speech.**:
1. An outline of the entire speech
2. The complete text of your speech typed out
3. A works cited list including at least 3credible/professional resources that you
actually use to create your speech.
4. Note cards, which you use during your speech
5. Combine items 1-3 into a single document and submit to Turnitin.com**
Please Note: You do not need to give me a hard copy of items 1-3, but you do need to make and turn in note cards.
Also, for this speech the use of visuals or PowerPoint is optional.
