Mi amigo(a) You will be creating an imaginary friend, and describing him/her in Spanish. EVERYTHING on your poster (including your title and any decorations that you put on the poster) MUST BE IN SPANISH! The majority of this project will be done IN CLASS. If you are absent, you will make up the work at home. Below is the schedule for the project: Monday- In class, you will answer questions about your friend. You will answer in COMPLETE SPANISH sentences. You will do this work alone. You may use your book and/or notes, and should bring them to class with you. All questions MUST be answered by the end of the period, and turned in to me so that I may check your work. I will circle anything that needs to be changed, but will not make the changes for you. I will write comments such as “SP” for spelling errors, “conj” if your verb is conjugated incorrectly. I will circle any capitalization or punctuation errors. Please write legibly. Tuesday-We will be in the library, where I will hand back your papers. You will make any corrections, so bring your book and notes to the library. After you have made your corrections, you will type your responses (font size of 24 pt) in a Google document. DO NOT TYPE QUESTION LETTERS. Accent marks count, so please see the reverse side of this sheet for how to use “alt codes” to type them. If you finish your typing in class, you may print out the document in the library. You will then take it home and NEATLY cut out your sentences. If you do not finish typing in class, you must finish typing the document at home, print it out at home, and cut out your sentences at home. Wednesday- In class, you will be putting together the finished product. You will be making a paper doll to represent your friend. Then, on a sheet of oaktag, you will glue your title, your doll, and your typed responses. You may bring in anything you wish to add to the poster to make it creative and interesting that you wish (stickers, etc.) Your grade will be based on the use of class time (10 pts), the attractiveness of your poster (10 pts), your required elements (10 pts), and your grammar/spelling (20 pts). Please see the rubric on the reverse side of this sheet. CATEGORY Use of Class Time 10 8 5 Used time well during each class period. Focused on getting the project done.
