CHECKLIST FOR REGISTRATION OF NON GOVERNMENTAL
ORGANISATIONS IN NIGERIA (NGO) – INCORPORATED TRUSTEES
1.
Reservation of the proposed name of the NGO
(Incorporated Trusteeship) with indication of the
aims and objectives of the NGO.
2.
Completed Corporate Affairs
registration form for NGO.
3.
Two copies of the Constitution of the NGO.
4.
Certified extracts of the Minutes of the Meeting of
the NGO where its Trustees were appointed.
5.
Two passport photographs of each appointed
Trustee.
6.
Certified extracts of the Minutes of the Meeting of
the NGO where the members resolved that the
NGO should be registered under the Companies &
Allied Matters Act.
7.
One iron seal.
8.
Twenty one days notice published in three
newspapers two of which must be national papers
and one a local paper in the locality where the
Trusteeship is resident informing the Public of the
application for registration and inviting valid
objections to the registration, if any.
