Calculation of the response of networks with R, L, and C components, independent sources, controlled sources, and operational amplifiers. Analysis of AC steady-state circuits. Prerequisites: EF1016, C- or better in MATH 1224 and MATH 1206 REQUIRED MATERIALS: Electric Circuits, (6E), Nilsson and Riedel, Prentice-Hall (2001) Introduction to PSpice Manual for Electric Circuits Using OrCad Release 9.1, Nilsson and Riedel, Prentice Hall (2000) COURSE GRADE: In-class 50-min Exams ( 4 ) Homework Final Examination (comprehensive) 400 pts 100 pts 100 pts Homework: Homework will be assigned in class. All homework is due at the beginning of class one week later on the following week. Late homework will not be accepted. We will choose 3 problems to grade on any HW assignment. It is advised that you do all problems. All grading are final. Homework problems must be worked on standard 8 1/2 x 11 papers with all problems neatly worked and answers clearly designated. Pages should be stapled together in the upper left-hand corner and turned in without being folded. HOMEWORK NOT COMPLYING WILL BE RETURNED UNGRADED. Homework and exam solutions: Internet will be used to distribute homework and exam solutions. All posted items will be deleted from the Internet 2 weeks after their first posting and they will not be re-posted.
