Program Objectives:
At the completion of this program, participants should be able to
1) Review the registration process for full delegation, field trip delegation, training unlicensed personnel to
administer an epi-pen.
2) To understand the history and development of the current MDPH Regulations for medication administration
and delegation in schools.
3) Review the school nurse’s responsibility for delegation as defined by the MA Board of Registration.

Dress Requirements for All DPH-funded Programs (regional meetings, other meetings
and School Health Institute Programs):
Since all school nurses are representing their professional specialty (and colleagues!) and work with many
different age groups of decision makers and presenters, business dress or business casual will be required for all
DPH funded programs---regional meetings, consultation meetings and Northeastern University School Health
Institute Programs.
Continuing Education Credit:
Participants will receive a total of 0.6 ceu’s for this program (6 hours of continuing education credit).
Northeastern University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc. (NEASC)
and in accordance with the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing 244 CMR 5.00.
