1. Open the Document. Open IE Project8-7.xls
2. Create Formulas using Functions
a. Create a formula in cell B10 that totals cells B5:B10.
b. Create a formula in cell F5 that totals cells B5:E5.
c. Create a formula in cell B11 that calculates the average for the
range B5:B10..
d. Create a formula in B12 that displays the largest number in range
B5:B10
e. Create a formula in cell B13 that displays the smallest number in
the range B5:B10.
3. Fill the formulas to the Right. Fill the formulas in B10:B13 through
column E (you want the total, average, maximum and minimum for the 4Games).
4. Fill the formula Down. Fill the formula from cell F5 down through F10.
5. Formatting. Apply the following formatting:
a. Merge and center cells A1:F1,
b. Merge and center cells A2:F2,
c. Make cell A1 Bold, 16 point and background (pattern) blue,
d. Make cell A2 Bold, 14 point and background (pattern) blue,
e. Apply Drop Shadow Style 14 to cells A1:F2,
f. Apply an AutoFormat (Simple) to cells A3:F11,
g. If necessary, make the games bold,
h. In row 8, replace the bottom border with a bottom double border,

In rows 9 and 10, remove the bottom border,
j.
Apply a floating currency style to cells B5:E12.
k. Format cells B5:E9 so they line up with the other numbers but do
NOT display dollar signs.

Widen column A-F using ‘Best Fit.’
m. Make rows 1 & 2 taller using ‘Best Fit.’
6. Column Chart. Create a column chart that plots Games 1-4 and displays
the Game names:
a. Sub type = Clustered Column with 3-D effect,
b. Display Game 1, Game r 2, Game 3, Game 4 in the legend,
c. Apply the title Sales by Game,
d. Display the chart on Sheet1 below the spreadsheet numbers,
e. Enlarge the chart proportionally so that it extends through
column H,
f. If the labels do not display, make the text smaller.
7. Page Setup. Change the page setup so the document prints in landscape
mode and is horizontally and vertically centered on the page.
If necessary, make everything fit on one page.
8. Check and Save.
a. Check your work,
b. Save to your test disk.
c. Close the document
