SCIENTIFIC METHOD CONCEPT MAP Part 1: Definitions Procedure 1. Using the concept map on the back of this paper, you will define the words in the BOXES. That’s a total of 15 words. 2. Look up EACH word in several different sources: dictionary (book and/or online), science book, etc. Study the meanings from each source. 3. Write your OWN definition using the information you learned. In other words, define the word in YOUR OWN WORDS, your own language as if you were to describe the word to a friend or to a teacher or parent. You may choose to draw a picture, if that helps you. 4. Legibly write the definitions on a separate piece of paper. 5. This assignment is due at the beginning of the period TOMORROW. SCIENTIFIC METHOD CONCEPT MAP & GAME Part 2: Game Materials Needed Per Group: scissors, crayons, markers or colored pencils, index cards (25) Procedure 1. Work groups of 2-4 students.
