Updated on 23 Mar. 2012 JOB DESCRIPTION Position Fleet Manager Department Report to Fleet Department Regional Fleet & Operations Manager Overall Responsibilities The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire vehicle fleet, its maintenance and insurance programs to meet the company’s standards & ultimately its business goals. The successful incumbent is also responsible for developing the strategic fleet plan including all sources of vehicles. Main Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Assisting in the procurement of new vehicles and completing all registration procedures for newly acquired vehicles. - In a timely manner, collecting and collating information on all brands and models of vehicles & their sources. - Decorating vehicles and installing additional equipments into vehicles e.g. tracking devices, GPS, baby seats, etc… - Understanding vehicle replacement policies, second-hand market, vehicle disposal channels, remarketing and vehicle retail. - Purchasing & managing additional equipment, inventory of spare parts (if any) accordance with the approved plan. - Planning ahead, scheduling and conducting regular inspection of vehicles for maintenance purpose. - Working with manufacturers, vendors on warranties, maintenance, repair of vehicles. - Purchasing insurance protection & renewing policies for vehicles and customers based on the company’s strategy. - Handling accident claim process and working with customers in case of accident(s). - Managing fleet database. - Collaborating with Operations department in Car control & fuel card tracking efforts. - Screening, testing & recruiting talents based on criteria agreed upon by the management team. Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all departments as HR, Finance, IT, Operations, Sales & Marketing… Job Specifications Education: Experience: Required Skills: Others University Degree in automobile or related field. - Minimum 5 years of automobile & service industry experience at management level. - Having relationship with dealerships and auctions. - Proven fleet, maintenance, insurance management experience in car leasing. - Must be highly motivated and able to influence and motivate others. - Superior problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively & efficiently. - Possess high-level ethics and integrity. - Strong leadership skills. - Superior interpersonal skills. - Passionate about customer service. - Adaptability to change. - Excellent presentation skills. - Good in English. Ability to speak Japanese or Mandarin Chinese is preferable. - Driver’s license at one of levels B1, B2, D or E
