Minutes of the 16th Meeting

1. Battery report
A. The new model only got 105Ah.
B. Thus, the new model 27RHX is not applicable.
C. Now select 30HXS, 135Ah, which is similar to SCS225 in specifications.
D. It can drive the car for around 2 hours.

The spec. for selecting is the energy per weight and energy per volume.
It costs HKD926, not including shipping fee.
The cost may be reduced after the staff talked with the boss.
Two months shipping time is needed, because the company only got 2 packs in
their stock.
I. They will ask for the charging curves from the America company for the
detailed data.
J. The price for the battery along with the charger need over $13,000.
K. As the charger is too large, so it can only be off-board.
L. They still think about the placing for the 10 packs of batteries.
2. Charger report
A. Originally they have to construct the model for a 12V lead-acid battery. But
owning to the problem of power supply, so they only selected 1 set out of two,
which is 40Aa, 50V output D.C.
B. For the hardware, it nearly finished, but need testing and only need to wait for a
suitable power supply.
C. Vicky found one periodical which talks about the battery charger for electric
vehicle. However, this periodical only concern about the transformer and
circuitry. Just a small part about the testing and the result. It just mentioned the
efficiency after tested is 86.5%. it didn’t mentioned what’s the test. And, will
gather some points to Jacky.
D. Mok Hang found a transformer with 1 channel, 13A, 220V, $1150, however, the
sales said that it can be converted into 4 channels.
E. They still finding if any components are needed.
F. Ho still need around 1 to 2 weeks for familiarized himself with C++.
