Mr. Beratis Room 407 Intro to Guitar I Course Description OVERVIEW OF INTRO TO GUITAR In this class students will be learning the basic fundamental skills needed for learning to play the guitar. Students will work on beginner music theory, finger mechanics, rhythm, melody, chords and building their ears to excel in music. ATTENDANCE POLICY The attendance policy is identical to the SHS policy. A student is allowed seven excused absences per quarter. Three tardies to guitar class results in one unexcused absence. If you feel like you will be late please ask for a pass from your previous teacher. GRADING POLICY 50% Participation 30% Weekly Lesson 20% Tests and Quizzes SUPPLIES Students will need a pencil, song book and guitar everyday for class. If the student brings these items to class daily they will receive full credit.
