The Jeannine Gregory Memorial Scholarship in Public Relations Leadership The Jeannine Gregory Scholarship in Public Relations Leadership was developed in honor of former Wayne State University student and past PRSSA president, Jeannine Gregory. Ms. Gregory was a first year law student at Pepperdine University in California, when she was tragically killed by a drunk driver on December 9, 1997. An award of $1,000 will be given to the student who has demonstrated leadership abilities in the area of public relations, a quality that Jeannine exemplified. The recipient must convey a sense of resourcefulness and commitment to the Wayne State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America. A committee composed of Wayne State University faculty and public relations professionals will select the recipient of this scholarship. Criteria: Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who have declared their major as public relations with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Applicants must be a current member of PRSSA. Applications for the Jeannine Gregory Scholarship Award must be received no later than Monday, March 18, 2013. The scholarship will be presented to the recipient at the 2013 Alumni and Student Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The recipient of this award must be able to attend the awards luncheon. The scholarship committee may contact applicants for a personal interview.
