Lean Business Offer
Directory of Service Providers
1. Lean Business Offer in brief
Enterprise Ireland’s Lean Business Offer is a programme designed to encourage clients to adopt lean
business principles in their organisation to increase competitiveness. The programme is based on 3
levels of intensity as follows:
LeanStart: focus on value
This is a short in-company assignment delivered by an external business development consultant, which
will introduce lean principles and agile processes and complete a specific cost reduction project. This is
an assignment of up to 7 (in company) consultancy days, extending over 8 to 12 weeks.
LeanPlus: performance improvement
This is a medium-scale business process improvement project delivered by an external business
development consultant. It will result in sustained use by the company of Lean techniques and related
methodologies and will achieve significant measurable competitiveness gains. A LeanPlus assignment
will typically be not less than 6 months duration.
LeanTransform: business transformation
This is an extensive, holistic company transformation programme delivered by an external consultancy
team of international reputation. It will embed the culture and competences in the company necessary for
on-going competitiveness gains, sustainable continuous improvement and business transformation
across the business and its supply chain. LeanTransform assignments will be preceded by a diagnostic
evaluation and will typically extend for at least 1 year.
Programme availability
This programme is available to Enterprise Ireland clients subject to eligibility as determined by Enterprise
Ireland and depending on the client’s existing capability in using Lean business principles, the client size,
and their particular business development needs.
2. Directory of Service Providers in brief
The purpose of the directory is to assist Enterprise Ireland clients who wish to participate in the Lean
Business Offer to identify a service provider who can demonstrate the necessary expertise and
experience to carry out a LeanStart, LeanPlus or LeanTransform assignment.
Clients are wholly responsible for selecting a service provider.
The directory content submitted by service providers will be compiled and presented in two formats:
 a summary listing of service providers showing key word details (as submitted in part 1 of this
application)
 detailed profile documents with summary cvs (as submitted in part 2 of this application).
The directory is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of service providers capable of carrying out
assignments under the Lean Business Offer.
The directory will be publicly available and will be updated by Enterprise Ireland on a regular basis.
