NAVTIKA National Conference (NNC 2014)
Dear Reader,
Early Childhood Care and Education (ECE) is now universally recognized as a vital input for
overall development of a child. Realizing the importance of the Early Childhood years as a
period of rapid physical and mental growth, a great deal of emphasis is being laid on ECCE
across the world.
India's only Journal of Early Childhood Care and Education – NAVTIKA was launched in 2007.
The Journal - an initiative of the Salwan Education Trust, New Delhi is published quarterly.
Under the banner of Navtika, workshops/conferences pertinent to the field of Early Childhood
Care and Education are held every year.
This year NAVTIKA is organizing a National Conference on 21 & 22 November 2014 at
Salwan Public School, Sector-15 (II), Gurgaon. The theme of the conference is Nurturing
Childhood: Achieving Sustainable Practices.
The Conference is a professional learning opportunity for early childhood educators who work
with children in a variety of settings, and for stakeholders. The Conference will be addressed by
heads of national institutions, scholars, and experts from the field of ECCE.
