Career Cruising - www.careercruising.com

This subscription website is available to Oakland County School Districts. The comprehensive program contains interest and skill surveys and returns careers and Career Pathways that match the student’s responses. The site also provides detailed occupation profiles and suggests high school courses, training and post-secondary programs. Video interviews about the careers are available.

Students also create an Educational Development Plan (EDP), a career portfolio, to document their career exploration. Students update their EDP in middle school and high school to:

Save Careers and Schools of Interest.

Create a personalized four-year high school education plan.

Document career preparation plans and activities.

Record extracurricular activities, awards, and work and volunteer experiences.

Store career and education-related documents online.

Create professional looking resumes.
