Students rotate through 6 centers throughout the week. Due to the shortened week, 3 centers will be
completed on Wednesday and three more on Thursday…
Center #1- Power Point Game (identify various pictures of weather instruments)
Center #2- Bar Graphs on Climate and Temp.
Center #3- What can we do to help? (pollution) – 2 work on worksheet while 2 watch
WK videos at back computers then rotate
Power Point, Dry erase Boards for game, Climate worksheets (Climate is the Key &
Keeping Up with the Climate), Pollution/Recycling worksheets (What a Waste & Be
Wise to Water), 4-5 Copies of Average Precip/Temp in Mississippi (table) found at

Other Center options include online quizzes. Google “self checking quizzes” with
“hydrosphere/atmosphere/water cycle”

“Test and Rest” day. Students will take a 20 question, multiple choice test. On
average, tests take about 30 minutes. Students then watch a TOPIC-RELATED
video after the test. (Friday schedules are shorter due to R.I.T.)
