The AGM registration package has been mailed out and members should receive it in the mail by October 23. Much of the information in the package has been posted in the members only section of the OSP website at www.psychotherapyontario.org, including the minutes from the 2008 AGM membership and business meetings, the resolutions being put forward to the membership this year and the slate of officers for approval. Resolutions this year are from the Task Force on PeaceMaking Circles regarding conflict resolution, the Professional Development Committee regarding CEUs and the Task Force on Legislative Issues regarding a member levy. Remember that Joyce Rowlands, Registrar of the Transitional Council of the College of Psychotherapists and Registered Mental Health Therapists, will be attending the AGM. This will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. Vacancies on the Board of Directors Currently there are six vacancies on OSP’s Board of Directors for 2009/10. Some positions can be filled by Qualifying members (Public Relations Chair, Secretary and Treasurer), whereas the Chairs of the Ethics, Membership and Nomination committees must be filled by Clinical members. Nominations are now closed. However, since the slate of officers is incomplete, nominations will be sought from the floor at the AGM. Members are asked to volunteer for the vacant positions. Each nomination requires support from two OSP Clinical members. Regional Corner in prOSPect Look for the latest column in the issue of prOSPect in the AGM mailing.
