Those skills were certainly improved by the IEEE Student Branch association: starting from 2013 I was nominated as chairman and personally organized several meetings, events and seminars focused on engineering and science subjects. Starting from 2007 I also was elected as councilor of “Società Ginnastica Pavese”, a sport association held in Pavia and older than 130 years. Among this field, I was enrolled as volunteer during international sport competitions, such as the European Youth Weightlifting Championships in 2007. During these big events I managing the accreditation desk for foreign athletes, judges and authorities. Informatic skills Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (word, excel and powerpoint) and general purpose engineering software (MatLAB from Mathworks). Through university experience and doctoral activities I improved my abilities in electromagnetic simulator for microwave devices and antennas: Ansys HFSS, Ticra GRASP and AWR Microwave Office. Thanks to the Integrated Circuit curriculum I get basis knowledge in advance circuit simulator (Cadence). Driving licenses A, B Mothertongue Italian Other language English Reading skills Good Writing skills Good Verbal skills Good Specific area of activities The primary doctoral activity concerns the design of mm-wave componets based on eco-compatible substrate. The final aim is the integration on those substrates of a complete microwave systems with filters, couplers and antennas. The research program is also focused on the electromagnetic characterization of various eco-friendly substrates and on the improvement of a low cost prototyping technique. The secondary activity concerns the developing of a 20 to 40 GHz radar for breast cancer detection. The aim of the project is the high-resolution 3D imaging of biological tissues with enhanced performance than existing protoypes. Before PhD, university activities were focused on deep space antennas and beam waveguide components. In particular during the MS courses, my interestings were also focused on integrated circuits issues, high speed serial links and optical applications. Publications S. Moscato, G.
