School of Political Science & International Studies Application For Fieldwork Placement Funding Support This form should be completed by students who wish to apply for funding to help offset the travel costs associated with undertaking a fieldwork placement or internship as part of their approved study program in the School of Political Science and International Studies. The maximum support that a student can apply for is $1,500 if the placement involves overseas travel or $250 for domestic travel. Travel funding is not provided for placements located in South-east Queensland. The following additional eligibility criteria apply: 1. Undergraduate students must have completed #16 units of POLS courses at UQ with a GPA of at least 5.6. 2. Postgraduate students must have completed #8 units of POLS courses at UQ with a GPA of at least 6.0. Rotary World Peace Fellows are not eligible to apply for support through this program. Applications must be lodged with the Senior Administration Officer (Academic), School of PS&IS, at least six weeks prior to the start of the semester in which you plan to undertake the internship/placement.
