INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION
PREQUALIFICATION REFERENCE No. 05
PROVISION OF BANKING AUTOMATION EQUIPMENT
Introduction
Diamond Bank Plc invites reputable companies, duly registered in Nigeria, with relevant
experience and proven track record, to participate in a pre-qualification exercise, which is a
pre-requisite for subsequent Technical Evaluation and inclusion in the eventual commercial
bidders list for competitive bidding.
Scope of Work
1.
Provision of Banking automation equipment such as; Time stamping machines,
pre-encoding machines, post encoding machines, foreign currency verifier, digital
filmdex machine, post encoding machines, currency sorter, digital cheque
embossing machine, cheque printing machines etc. to all branches of the bank in
different geo-political areas of the country.
Prequalification Requirements
Prospective companies are required to submit the following information with suitable
evidence of compliance:
1.
Nigerian Registration:
Company profile including details of ownership and evidence of incorporation,
address of main office in Nigeria, functioning communication (telephone, email,
fax). If the contractor is a consortium, evidence of a legally binding joint venture
agreement between them, that holds contractors jointly and severally liable for the
performance of the work, shall be presented.
- Submission of form CO7.
- Evidence of tax clearance certificate for last 3 years, Custom duties and
statutory fees, where applicable.
- Company’s financial details and audited accounts for the last three years in
addition to evidence of own finance and / or credit facility up to N10M
- Statement of affairs for newly registered companies.
2.
Relevant Experience:
- Bidders should provide evidence of relevant experience with such services in
Diamond Bank Plc and / or other financial organizations.
- Detailed information on key personnel (including CV and list of management)
and company organization, with verifiable work experience in service/product
area in the last 3 years or 4 projects, which ever is greater.

Include in a tabular form, detailed locations, addresses, contact persons and
telephone numbers of your key service outlets or your client organizations
where you have provided similar services up to date.
Include in a tabular form, detailed list of all kinds of banking automation
equipment supplied to date.
3.
Health, Safety, Environment:
- Safety statistics 2004 – 2006
- Evidence of Company’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies,
management systems, responsible personnel and performance records.
4.
Quality/Standards:
- Interested companies shall provide quality assurance and quality control
policy and plans for such services.
5.
Logistics /Sourcing Capability:
- Evidence that the company possesses rents, leases the appropriate offices,
workshops in all the 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
- Confirm availability of bulk discounts and warranties on goods supplied.
- Confirm current affiliations with reputable companies and brands.
- Evidence of sourcing capability for required type and volume of product.
Submission of application and Prequalification Documents
 The submissions shall be in A4 size papers and neatly packaged in tabbed folders, if
possible. The top left hand side of the envelope containing the submission must be
marked with the Prequalification reference number.

All prequalification packages must be submitted or sent by courier at the address
indicated below, on/before 14th December, 2007.

Prequalification packages not received at this date shall not be considered.
This advertisement for Pre-qualification is an offer only. Diamond Bank Plc is neither
committed, nor under obligation, to enter into a contractual agreement with any
bidder(s), on the basis of the submissions made under the Prequalification reference
and title.
Diamond Bank Plc will accept and process the prequalification submission on the
basis of payment of non refundable fee of thirty thousand Naira (N30,000) per
prequalification reference number, in certified bank draft made payable to
Diamond Bank Plc.

