The wards are connected to the central labs by a powered chute system to deliver blood samples. The wards and OPD
have a PACS system installed to view the radiology reports and pictures. The Lab reports can be accessed by the LAN in
the wards on the computer screen.

Comment : Clinical Biochemistry lab does not have any medical faculty working in the lab and is headed by a non-medical
faculty. There are 4 faculty members supervising and 4 MSc who are running the clinical biochemistry lab and also reporting
the results. There is no posting of medical faculty in the labs.
As the MCI is making the curriculum the MBBS more clinically oriented and evidence based it is essential that more medical faculty
should be taken and also be given charge of the hospital labs.
