Dilworth by ASAP.
Job Opportunities:
2. A Mercer County Farm is looking for a FULL TIME employee. Duties include: grain farming, livestock
management (turkeys, hogs), and a CDL will be required. The family would like an ambitious young person
who has a love and passion to make agriculture his career. See Mrs. Kaiser or Mr. Hawk for more
information.
3. A local construction company would like to hire someone for part-time construction help this summer. See
Mrs. Kaiser if interested.
4. A local cleaning service would like to hire a high school student to clean from 4-7:30 p.m. See Mrs. Kaiser if
interested.
5. Go to http://hometownopportunity.com/ for information on jobs in Mercer/Auglaize Counties!
6. Students participating in Co-Op Programs at college can do their Co-Ops here at home! Just contact a local
business or the Mercer County Community Development Department for more information. (The same is true
for internships and Journeyman’s training.)
Miscellaneous:
7. All students who plan to go to college should take a college entrance exam. An ACT (or SAT) test score

SAT. FRHS students usually take the ACT (1-3 times). STOP BY THE GUIDANCE OFFICE AND PICK UP A YELLOW
INFORMATION SHEET, INFORMATIONAL FLYER, AND A PRACTICE TEST PRIOR TO REGISTERING! (IEP/504 students
requesting extended time must see Mrs. Kaiser 2 weeks prior to the registration deadline.)

Contact your local businesses and ask about their apprenticeship and training programs!
16. Articulated Credit: We currently have articulation agreements with some area colleges (WSU Lake, UNOH,
for example) for FRHS courses in Accounting, Ag, Tri-Star, etc. You need to ASK your college advisor if you
can articulate any of your HS credits to college! This can SAVE you TIME and MONEY.
17. West Central Ohio Workforce Development Initiative offers 10 week courses to become certified CNC
machinists and welders. There is an immediate need in this area for manufacturing jobs and skilled workers.
Contact angela.hamberg@newbremen.com for more information.
18. Students attending WSU-Dayton campus: a locally-owned property is available to rent near WSU. Please
cell Jim Moeller at 419-305-2597 if you have any questions.
19. Attention Juniors: Many allied health programs (nursing, dental hygiene, radiology, etc.), have preadmission requirements (i.e. observation hours, specific coursework) and waiting lists. Make an appointment
with a college advisor to learn more about the admission process and ask if you should apply in the spring of
your junior year.
20. Interested in joining the military after graduation?
 There is information in the guidance office on all branches of the military.

clearinghouse. Both eligibility centers require that test scores (i.e. ACT) be sent directly from the testing
agency. SEE MRS. KAISER IF YOU NEED TO REGISTER WITH EITHER OF THESE ATHLETIC
