2ND DAY, SUNDAY, 25TH OCTOBER 2015
STATE OF TRACK: HEAVY
Panel of Stipendiary Stewards:
Mr David Anthony Fisher (Acting Chief Stipendiary Steward), Mr Lee Seng He, Mr
Devaraj Arujunen and Mr Jarry Chong Kok Heng (Stipendiary Stewards)
RACE 1 (R1264) CLASS 5 – 1400M
[HOMEBASED]
ZERO ONE HANDICAP
RUNFORIT (App Z Khairil) fly-jumped at the start.
KEY LARGOLD (App CT Lee) threw its head up at the start and lost some ground.
HAPPY SURPRISER (App AK Lim) hesitated at the start and was slow into stride.
KEY LARGOLD and GOOD CODE (App S Shafrizal) both had a tendency to lay
inwards in the home straight.
Shortly after the 200M mark, ZENIDIN (J Shankar) switched outwards around the heels
of VICTORY MARCH (App SU Lim) which was laying inwards.
Post-race veterinary examinations of RUNFORIT and KEY LARGOLD revealed no
obvious abnormality. RUNFORIT was impounded for further veterinary and analytical
examination.
App Z Khairil, the rider of RUNFORIT, reported that his mount did not act in the
“Heavy” going.
Jockey M Razali, the rider of BRITE LITES, reported that his mount was not striding out
freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare returned lame off fore
and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race
again.
Stipendiary Stewards’ Report
PNTC, Sunday, 25th October 2015

Jockey S Salee, the rider of DIAMOND FLAME, reported that his mount was not
striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
DIAMOND FLAME was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.
Trainer S Hamilton, when questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of
DIAMOND FLAME, advised the Stewards that DIAMOND FLAME was a small framed
entire and it would appear that this horse was unable to take two hard runs in succession
on a “Heavy” track. She also reported that Jockey S Salee had reported that DIAMOND
FLAME was not striding out freely. The video replays confirmed that Jockey S Salee
attempted to improve his position on the home turn with the whip and the horse showed
no response. Trainer S Hamilton’s attention was drawn to the rules regarding “In-andOut” running (MRA Rule 117(3)). Should DIAMOND FLAME prove to be inconsistent
or run a poor race in the future, it may be suspended from racing.
App CT Lee, the rider of KEY LARGOLD, in the presence of his Master, Trainer HS
Lim, was questioned regarding the start. App CT Lee advised the Stewards that KEY
LARGOLD sat back and was slow to begin. After reviewing the video replays, the
Stewards advised App CT Lee that they are not entirely happy with his explanation and
he was warned that in future, he would be expected to ensure that he gives sufficient rein
to all his runners, failing which action may be taken.

At the start, ARCHAEOLOGY (App S Shafrizal) jumped awkwardly and swerved

WEALTH which in turn bumped DON’STOPBELIEVING (M Razali) onto NICE HAT

and was a little slow to begin.
MY HANDSOME GREY laid outwards in the home straight and brushed AGUERO
approaching the 200M.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that YES MADAM (App CT Lee) returned having cast
its off hind plate.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ARCHAEOLOGY and MULTI WEALTH revealed
no obvious abnormality. ARCHAELOLOGY which raced poorly, will be required to
pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again. MULTI WEALTH was
impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.
Trainer S Hamilton, when questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of
MULTI WEALTH, advised the Stewards that their intention was to race MULTI
WEALTH on the pace but after receiving a severe bump at the start, this horse appeared
to take little interest in the race. The video replays confirmed that this horse failed to
respond to Jockey S Salee’s riding and use of the whip at the top of the home straight.

HOME-BASED MEETING 2015

trackwork had improved after his last race.
