RTAC COORDINATOR REPORT June, 2014 June 3 . I attended the RTAC Coordinator meeting in Madison. June 4th. I attended STAC Meeting in Madison. STAC Meeting dates 2014 are: Aug. 6, Oct. 15, Dec. 3 in Madison, Wed. Meeting Schedule are; 8:30-10am Data Management Mtg. 10-12pm Trauma Coordinators & Classification Process Mtg. 12- 2pm STAC Mtg. RTAC Coordinators will be meeting on the Tues. from 1pm-5pm. FVRTAC meetings in 2014 will be: June 11, Aug13. Oct.15, Dec.10. State Trauma Coordinator position they have had interviews. DHS has hired a Fiscal/Budget person, she is Julie Forcier, she can be contacted at JulieT.Forcier@dhs.wisconsin.gov DHS hired an epidemiologist Ashley Bergeron, Ashley.bergeron@dhs.wisconsin.gov EMSC coordinator is Amalia Brouillard you can contact her at abrouillard@chw.org or (414) 292-4012 . She wants to come to an RTAC Meeting. DI has created 10 Trauma Registry Dashboard Reports which are available. Instructions below. Regionalization 9 RTACs need to change to WHEPP 7 Regions. Healthcare Coalition Transition Committee webcast 6/25 from 1-3pm everyone welcome. There is a Meeting 7/10 in Stevens Point for Committee members. State PI Committee is looking into holding a TOPIC Course, more to come in the future. Classification Site Reviews will use the ACS Gold Book and Essentials & Desired checklist. FVRTAC does /have 1 Gold Book to loan to Hospitals to use for Site Review preparations. Finally there is a new draft book but it has some problems. Level III Hospitals the General Surgeon has to be current in ATLS. ER Physicians boarded in Emergency Medicine only have to take ATLS once. ER Physician not boarded in Emergency Medicine must be current in ATLS. Also the Trauma Director has to be current in ATLS. Level IV Hospitals ER Physician boarded in Emergency Medicine need to take ATLS once. ER Physician not boarded in Emergency Medicine need to stay current in ATLS. Deadline for these requirements was 1/1/2014. Classes are available. RTTDC or CALS is acceptable for Level IV hospital ER Physicians. But you must submit a waiver letter to the State Trauma Coordinator before every site review. GCS for both Prehospital and ED should be broken down. Data should come from Level II, or III Trauma Centers if they have their own registry Medical Oversight Committee has printed the revised ambulance patient report.
