Glens Falls Hospital, is a modern, 442 - bed acute care hospital located in the foothills of the
Adirondacks, 10 minutes from Lake George and 50 minutes from Albany. Numerous cultural and recreational opportunities are offered in this resort area.
The Rehabilitation Centers at Glens Falls Hospital include acute care, outpatient and skilled nursing.
The department employs a staff of 150 with 10 Occupational Therapists.
Glens Falls is currently seeking a Occupational Therapist for their sub acute rehab, long term care facility in Hudson Falls. The Fort Hudson Nursing Home Inc. is a 150 bed skilled nursing facility.
Glens Falls hospital has for many years provided th erapy services. Approximately ½ of the therapist's time is spent in the short term rehab (average length of stay 25 days) and the other half working with the general nursing home population.
The Rehabilitation Department offers an excellent opportunity for professional development. After 90 days, there is the opportunity for cross training and increased compensation.
Glens Falls will offer a work schedule of Monday thru Friday 8 – 4:30 with only one weekend day per month. Salary is very competitive and they will also offer a sign on bonus, relocation package and excellent benefits.
Any experience in sub acute or acute rehab programs is a plus.
