SUMMARY:
The CONCERN: Employee Assistance Program has been responding
to critical incidents for C.S.R.A. companies and organizations since
1983. They have responded to bank robberies, chemical company
injuries and convenience store robberies. They also handle fire
departments debriefs after a death has occurred, sheriff departments
who have shooting related injuries or death, as well as other on site
traumatic events.

The Domestic Violence Intervention Center provides services to
victims of domestic violence and their children, including but not
limiting emergency shelter, support and referrals. Acts as a liaison
for various organizations throughout the community. Also, offers
outreach programs to the surrounding counties for persons dealing
with domestic violence. Serves 12 counties in the Central and
Eastern Georgia area.

The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons provides services
and shelter to victims of domestic violence and their children.
They also provide services for sexually assaulted victims. They
have a variety of contacts for the South Carolina areas as well as
for C.S.R.A. Acts as a liaison for various organizations throughout
the community. Will help the victims obtain orders of protection if
needed and offers counseling programs when needed. This is the
sister organization to the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of
the South Carolina residents as well as for residents of the
C.S.R.A.

The Georgia Coalition on Family Violence is a network of non-profit
domestic violence shelter programs located across Georgia. Their
programs respond 24 hours a day, providing safe shelter and emotional
support, advocacy, referrals to other social services and information on
victim’s rights.

Georgia Legal Services offers legal services mostly to low income and
senior citizens dealing with civil or financial issues. They also serve as
a referral service for their clients to various attorneys in the community.
When dealing with domestic violence issues they will help the client
obtain a temporary protection order if needed.
