Test Objectives The objective of testing a Billing and Collection Customer’s message dataset is to ensure the Customer has the computer software in place to create a message file that will correctly procss in the Ameritech Operating Company (AOC) systems. Expected results will be negotiated. Depending upon the modification, results could include the following deliverables: Upfront EMI Record edits Bill samples Reports, i.e., Unbillables, PARS, Return Error 2. Test Data Generally, test data will contain no less than 50 and no more than 200 total messages. Each AOC”S file must contain 50-200 test messages based on the test bed of accounts listed in Attachment 1. Test account numbers must correspond to those listed in Attachment 1 in order to ensure the successful running of the test file. The number of messages and, when applicable, the number of bill samples, will be negotiated. All header, message and trailer records in the test packs should adhere to the guidelines contained in Billing & Collections Services Contract, Tape and Data Transmission Specifications Exhibit D3, and Bellcore Exchange Message Interface documentation. For test dataset names see Attachment 2. There will be one system header and trailer record as well as multiple pack header and trailer records for every “send to/bill to” RAO combination being targeted for testing. 3. Test Procedures The Customer should notify the Ameritech Regional coordinator (typically, your regional coordinator for contract matters and day-to-day issues) to schedule a test. The coordinator will notify the Customer’s test contact of the scheduled test dates for each AOC within eight (8) business days. The Customer test contact should notify the Ameritech Regional Coordinator two business days before the test media is sent. The Ameritech Regional coordinator will ensure that each AOC is notified that the test media has been send out. The test media should be send to the address listed in Attachment 3 via the same method as will be used for live media, i.e., tape. Only one physical tape with all AOC data is to be created whether in test or production modes. 2 CONFIDENTIAL Solely for use by Ameritech employees who have a need to know.
