Jean-Philippe was an executive of W.R. Grace and Co., a Fortune-100 packaging, specialty chemicals and healthcare conglomerate, in charge of the worldwide deployment of the SAP R/3 enterprise suite. He successfully directed projects in the USA, Australia, New Zealand,
Singapore, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. Through the creation of a global template supported by
Internet technology and the deployment of knowledge by a central expert group, he accelerated the successful execution of this $100+ million project, vital for the globalization of the company.
Before directing the company’s global SAP R/3 deployment, Jean-Philippe managed and reorganized the corporate headquarters financial and management reporting processes and replaced the global finance systems of Grace. This project reduced the number of systems generating millions of dollars in annual savings whilst improving financial information. In his role as corporate assistant controller, he initiated the enterprise data standardization needed for global consistency of information and manufacturing processes and participated in the creation of a multi-business finance service center.
As Controller of Grace Europe, Jean-Philippe merged the financial operations of 2 divisions, resulting in major efficiencies in this $1.3 billion business. He led the development and implementation of financial and management information systems and unified the systems and accounting practices of the 52 corporations under his responsibility. His achievements in his previous role as systems and organization audit manager in Europe include a turnaround for an equipment division, improvement programs in logistics, manufacturing and warehousing processes at multiple manufacturing plants and research centers, total quality management and
ISO 9000 certification programs in the areas of IT and manufacturing, and implementation of business continuity plans.
Prior to joining Grace, Jean-Philippe worked for Ford Motor Company, IBM and Credit Suisse.
Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Jean-Philippe speaks fluent English, French, German and Italian. He holds an MBA and a MS in CIS from the University of Miami.
