TALENTED KIDS PRESS
Welcome everybody to the Spring Edition of the Talented
Kids Press. Since our January edition, there have been
many more achievements and successes for the Talented
Tots, Kids, Teens + Adults which you can read about in our
Student News Section. If I have left anything out, please let
me know and I will include it in the next issue. This
Newsletter will also give details for this current term,
upcoming events and important dates for your diary.

film “The Good” which was filmed in Kilkenny.
KIAN KAVANAGH was featured on the FINE
GAEL Party Political Broadcast.
JOHN POWER was cast as a “referee” on RTE’s
HUBBLE.
SARAH MURRAY was cast in a pilot sitcom
“Alexander and Pete”. She filmed for a week in
Galway with many actors who travelled over
from LA. One of the main actors/puppeteers was
actor TYLER BUNCH who has created and
worked puppets for Nickelodeon, Sesame Street,
Bear in the Big Blue House, and the new Muppet
Movie out at the end of this year. He also stars on
“Law and Order: Criminal Intent”.
“My Life as a Teen” which features KATE
HENNESSY and many of our Senior Students
debating and discussing Teen Issues on a panel is
currently being repeated on TV3.
ROAN DURMUS was featured on RTE’s
HUBBLE for 2 episodes on transport in Dublin
and talked all about Dublin Bus.
PANASHE McGUCKIN, KYLE BRADLEY
DONALDSON and JAMIE MAHER have all
been cast in BADLY DRAWN ROY. PANASHE
stars as Alex, and KYLE + JAMIE star as the
comic MALONE BROTHERS.
Some of our Younger Students have been
individually featured on RTE’sELEV8 reviewing
games/tv programmes etc. Most recently this
programme featured: LUKE FEENEY as a Kazoo
player, HARRY BEHAN got to the semi finals of
THE COMPUTER GAMING CHAMPION,

with a contemporary artist; BRADLEY BURKE
interviewed a hurler. LUCY WATSON, SARAH
GUNNING, OONAGH DUKE, ORLAITH
DUKE and HARRY BEHAN are all part of the
Young Peoples Manifesto being brought to
Leinster House on Young People’s Rights for
ELEV8. NIAMH HEALY, AINE GAVIN and
EMMA BYRNE will all be on SWAPSTERS soon.
MOLLY LARKIN is campaigning for
MARY BYRNE to win NATIONAL HERO. She
will be on our screens soon campaigning!
1 MINUTE WONDERS on RTE featured many of
our CLONDALKIN TALENTED KIDS talking
about St. Patrick’s Day and Leprechauns. Keep an
eye out as they may well just make another
appearance on ELEV8 in the near future!
PHILIP EMMET was cast as CAIAPHAS in
“Jesus Christ Superstar” held recently in the
Pavilion Theatre.
KYLE, KACI and KIAN KAVANAGH have all
been cast in the upcoming BARNARDO’S TVC.
LORNA DEMPSEY aka” ELLE D” is supporting
JEDWARD on their tour and going down a storm.
ADELE DEMPSEY is dancing with JEDWARD

VITA BOND has been cast as the lead role of
ANNA in an Irish Film Board Short Film “An
Rinceoir”. ADELE will also be choreographing
Vita’s dance for the film.
JOHNNY WARD has been cast as “Ray Dooley”
in the Black comedy play “The Beauty Queen of
Leenane” which is running in the Gaiety Theatre
in MAY. He stars alongside veteran stage
actress ROSALEEN LINEHAN. Buy your
tickets quick!!! This play will tour Ireland
and then travel to the WESTEND!!!
JOHNNY will be on tour until September
2011. JOHNNY is also a featured actor on
the new LIFESTYLE WEB CAMPIGN and
his Lyons Tea Commercial has been
renewed for a 2nd year.
JOHNNY has also been cast in the Lead
Male role in Short Film “Two Hearts”.
Little ROBYN DEMPSEY plays his
daughter “Nancy” and NIAMH GLYNN
plays a supporting role as a” Junkie”.
NIAMH GLYNN has also landed a main
part as “Steph” in new comedy play
“Pineapple” which will tour Ireland until

SHANE THORNTON has been cast as
“Micka” in the new series of LOVE/HATE
and will be filming in May.
SOPHIE PEACOCK was cast in the short
film “Centre of the Universe”
PETER SEXTON was cast as the lead actor
in a new music video for New York based
DJ Nicolas Jaar.
TORI LEE BRIDGEMAN and GWENOLA
LELEU have been cast in the short film
“Sometimes People”.
GWENOLA was featured on the front page
of the “Feel Good” Magazine for the Irish
Examiner and many of our students were
featured in photographs in this magazine
which was about “Talented Kids
Performing Arts School and Agency” being
one of the top agencies in Ireland. There
was also a write up about Brothers
BRADLEY and RHYS BURKE on all of
their successes since joining our classes and

ORLAITH DUKE has been cast as SAM in
the short film “Life”
MIA QUIRKE and SUSIE POWER were
featured on 2 episodes of HUBBLE singing
and presenting links on Space.
SUSAN WARD has just been cast in the
new Safe Food TV Commercial in which
she will be featured.
At the recent IFTA’s, The film
“PENTECOST” which stars our own
DAVID SEXTON and in smaller roles
CARL HICKEY, CRAIG HENRY and
PAUL DACTU won an IFTA Award for
Best Short Film.
Congrats to AOIFE QUINN winning 1st
Place in the Dublin Community Games
Competition. She will represent DUBLIN in
the Finals in Athlone in May. CONGRATS
to SARAH MOLLOY for coming 2nd
PLACE OVERALL in the CREDIT UNION
Talent Show. CONGRATS to EMILY,
ORLAITH, JOHN + REBECCA KELLY for
winning at the DUBLIN FEIS CEOIL and
for their fantastic performance on FEIS and
BLOOD on TG4. The KELLY family were
all cast in the Greystones “ALICE IN
WONDERLAND MUSICAL”. REBECCA
was cast as “Alice”, EMILY as “Rose”,
ORLAITH as the “Queen of Hearts” and
JOHN as the “Caterpillar”. Many of our
Senior Students won Multiple Prizes in a
lot of the Solo Singing Competitions
held recently in Wesley College, Feis
Ceoil and Arklow. Our SENIOR
ACADEMY group were placed 3rd
in an ALL IRELAND Dance
Competition “Got 2 Dance” in
Drogheda.

Homophobic Video Campaign
features many of our Teen Actors:

Bully’s. Also cast in supporting roles
are: GINA TAFT, LAURA ZOLA,
AINE GAVIN, NIAMH DUKE,
AOIBHIN NOONE and AARON
LOCKHART. This footage is all
over the internet and forums such as
facebook and has received
thousands and thousands of hits! It
also premiered in Wood Quay on
31st March and was hosted by RTE’s
BLATHNAID NI CHOFAIGH. Keep
an eye out for it!
