(“Evernote” is also available for PC) Andrea O. – Computer software: “Perfect Ear (or Pitch) 2” – Ear training. “Sight Read 4 Piano” – Sightplaying Exam materials. “Home Concert Extreme” – accompaniment track; “Staff Wars” (note reading) (not as many apps are available for android systems) Wynn-Anne R. – Offers a computer lab component to private lessons: Computer software: “Tonic Tutor” subscription – fee after 7 students (music theory games), “Music Learning Community”, “Theta”, also made accompaniment discs for PC or Mac computers. She is able to track student’s progress with this program. Discussion on the question: Do you use “Computer Lab” as part of lesson. Not as many teachers are offering that. Additional ideas: Program to adjust tempi and pitch of CD or disk recordings. “Tempo Slow” – app. There is a computer program for this also. “Music Teacher’s Helper” – First 5 students are free. After that, a monthly subscription fee applies. This program provides organizes scheduling, billing, taxes, expenses, etc. – available for computer and Ipad. Individual studio Facebook page – may be more applicable for parents than for students A few teachers have tried cataloging their music libraries using Xcel . Andrea O – is considering developing a music method for the Ipad. She asked the group of their interest in using something like this.
