Thank you for joining us for the EJF Spring Auction. For those of you not familiar with the Equal
Justice Foundation, some brief facts:
What is EJF?
As a member of Equal Justice Works, the Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) is committed to promoting public interest law and community service activities in the D.C. community and beyond. Each year, EJF organizes activities at the Law School and in the local community to raise money for public interest work. This money funds stipends for students employed in unpaid public interest legal positions over the summer, and helps improve GW's Student Loan
Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP).
The Spring Auction is EJF's largest event of the year, as well as one of GW's most wellattended social events. Law School students, faculty, staff, and alumni come together for a
Silent and Live Auction in support of students pursuing unpaid employment in public service, which last year raised more than $30,000 for public interest stipends. EJF’s fundraising has enabled law students to work at organizations like the Neighborhood Legal Services of D.C., the Migrant Legal Action Program, and the D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
How Can I Help?
That’s the easy part. Bid on whatever interests you. You can buy for yourself, friends, and family. All proceeds go toward helping students explore the rewards of public interest work and commit to creating a more just society through the practice of law.
With your assistance, we can make a difference in the lives of people who would otherwise be without recourse. Your participation makes it all possible.

Holy Fundraising Fun, Batman!
9:00 am – 3:30 pm in the Kelly (Leather) Lounge
 All bids must follow minimum raises
 Bids must include your full name, phone number, and email address to be valid
 Winners will be announced at the live auction and on the portal
 Winners do not need to be present at the live auction in order to win
 Placing a bid with your email is a binding contract, and an oath on which your J.D. will be held collateral
 You may place bids for persons unable to attend the auction IF (and only if) you have their prior authorization to do so. Placing a bid with someone else’s email without their permission is bad form and will result in a plague of chain letters, poor cell phone reception, and locusts.

Items may be picked up on the night of the auction at the payment table in LL102, or from 9am-4pm in the Hard Lounge until April 10 th .
