All students enroll in 12-16 units composed of:
Seminar Course (4 units graded)
Internship/Field Work (4-8 units P/NP)
Part-time or full-time internship. Majors in the
School of Social Ecology can use this to fulfill
their field study requirement. Public Health
majors can also use this to fulfill their Practicum
requirement.
Optional Elective Course (4 units graded)
Offered in a variety of fields, depending on the
quarter, such as politics, public policy, art
history, sociology, media, economics, etc.
Optional Independent Research (4-8 units
graded) Independent research guided by UCI
faculty advisor at UCI.
