University, Belgium. The title of my Ph.D. thesis was "An examination of factors
which affect the construct validity of assessment centers".

III. Career


IV. Teaching

From 2006 (October), I have been teaching three courses in ‘Personnel Management'
as professor at Ghent University. These courses are given among others to 3rd year
Bachelor students in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and 2nd year Master
students in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Between 2002 (October) and 2006 (September), I taught four courses in ‘Personnel
Management' as associate professor at Ghent University. These courses are given
among others to 3rd year Bachelor students in Industrial and Organizational
Psychology and 2nd year Master students in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Between 1999 (October) and 2002 (September), I taught two courses as assistant
professor, namely 'Psychological Assessment II' and 'Emerging Issues in Personnel
Management', at Ghent University. The former course was given to 2nd year Bachelor
students in Psychology. The latter course was given to 2nd year Master students in
Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
V. Funding
Over the years, I obtained over 1.5 million Euro in funding. Important funded
projects were the (a) development and validation of video-based situational
judgment tests for the Entrance Exam “Medical and Dental Studies' in Flanders”, (b)
image audit of the Belgian Defence as an employer, and (c) “Indicate”-project which
was embedded in the EQUAL Project of the European Science Foundation (together
with VDAB).
Over the years, I was promotor of over 100 Master dissertations and many Ph.D.
dissertations (Frederik Anseel, Helga Peeters, Greet Van Hoye, Eveline Schollaert,
Nele Libbrecht, Tine Buyse, Britt De Soete). To this end, I also obtained various
research scholarships and grants (FWO, BOF, etc.).
