Heckington Division Royal British Legion Chairman Mr Eric Bull 462016 The Royal British Legion has a Branch at Heckington which meets at the Heckington Sports Club on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. There are currently 15 members in order that we may continue to carry out the exceptionally valuable work of this organisation. The Royal British Legion was founded in 1921 to care for the welfare of those tens of thousands of troops returning from the trenches of the First World War. But the Legion is as relevant today as it ever was. We need people to deliver the huge welfare programme to the ex-Service and Serving community; and we need people to join our team of volunteers and help the Legion’s Poppy Appeal to keep on growing. With the ever-increasing demand on the Legion’s services, we need your help more than ever. If you would like to consider becoming a member of The Royal British Legion (and you need not have served in Her Majesty’s Forces to do so), please contact the Chairman, as above.
