Student presentations Tuesday September 18 Notes The presentations will be worth 75 points. They must speak about a product for 5-7 minutes with some form of visual aid. Student presentations Wednesday September 19 Specific oral communication techniques are used to effectively convey information and communicate with an audience Assess the development of an engineered product and discuss its impact on society and the environment. Student presentations Thursday September 20 Identify line types (including construction lines, object lines, hidden lines, cutting plane lines, section lines, and center lines) used on a technical drawing per ANSI Line Conventions and Lettering Y14.2M-2008 and explain the purpose of each line. Today we will start Unit 2. I will talk about Line Conventions and then we will talk about the different types of sketches. We will start with isometric and oblique pictorials. The students will work on Activity 2.1 Isometric Sketching. Friday September 21 Identify and define technical drawing representations including isometric, orthographic projection, oblique, perspective, auxiliary, and section views. The students will continue to work on Activity 2.1 Isometric Sketching in class. Also, if time allows, we will discuss sketching an isometric circle. Each sketch is worth 2 points, and then each question is worth 1 point. They students will get 1 point for using complete sentences, so the assignment is worth 20 points.
