Mt. San Jacinto College offers the following benefits to regular full-time and part-time employees; detailed information is provided during New hire orientation. Vacation: Full-time (35+ hours) classified, confidential, and supervisory employees shall earn vacation at the rate of 8 hours per month during the first 2 years of employment (12 days for 12 months); beginning the 3rd year through the 5th year the rate will be at 9.33 hours per month (14 days for 12 months); starting the 6th year through the 10th year the rate will be 10.67 hours per month (16 days for 12 months); beginning the 11th year through the 15th year at a rate of 12 hours per month (18 days for 12 months); from the beginning of the 16th year at the rate of 13.33 hours per month (20 days for 12 months). Administrators receive 22 vacation days a year. Employees working part-time (34 hours or less per week) shall earn vacation on a pro-rata basis. Holidays: Mt. San Jacinto College recognizes the following as paid holidays: Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Friday following Thanksgiving, Winter Recess to include Christmas Day, a day designated in lieu of Admission Day, and 2 additional days during the winter recess as designated by the District, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Lincoln’s Birthday, Washington’s Birthday, Spring Break Day, and Memorial Day. Care HMO “High” option $10-co-pay per visit, no annual deductible. Blue Cross Calif. Care HMO “Low” option $25 co-pay per visit and no annual deductible. Blue Cross PPO option 90/10 using Preferred Providers and a $250/$500 annual deductible. 70/30 using Non-Preferred Providers and a $4000/$10,000 annual deductible. NOTE: ALL Medical plans Blue Cross or Kaiser have a $100 Emergency Room co-pay. This is waived if you are admitted to the hospital. Prescriptions: Blue Cross members have prescription drug coverage through Express Scripts Prescription Service. HMO “High” option, HMO “Low” option, and “PPO” option: Retail: 30 day supply - $5 Generic/$20 Brand Mail Order: 90 day supply - $10 Generic /$40 Brand Kaiser members have prescription drug coverage with $10 co-pay if filled through a Kaiser Pharmacy. Dental Benefits: Depending upon coverage selected, dental benefits may be provided at no cost to full time employees. Delta Premier: 70-80-90-100% increasing 10% every year you receive services, $1000 annual maximum and two (2) cleanings per person per year. Delta DPO: -100% coverage when services rendered by a DPO dentist, $1500 annual maximum and four (4) cleanings per person per year. Safe Guard Dental Plan: Must use a Safe Guard Dentist. No co-pays for office visit and no annual deductibles. Other out-of-pocket expenses may apply depending on services. Orthodontics is available; costs vary depending on services used. PacifiCare Behavioral Health PacifiCare Behavioral Health provides out-patient and in-patient coverage for employees and covered dependents, through an Employee Assistance Program. All treatment must be pre-authorized through PBH at 1-800-999-9585 and provided by an in-network provider. Vision Benefits: An annual eye exam is covered when referred by your primary care physician under the Blue Cross and Kaiser program. Cole Vision (Vision One) is a discount program for frames, lenses and contacts that is available only for Blue Cross members. Term Life Insurance: The District pays for a $20,000 Life Insurance and a $1,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. Additional Voluntary Life or Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance is available through voluntary payroll deduction. CalPERS Contribution The District shall pay on behalf of all eligible unit members, the employee’s statutory share of Public Employees Retirement System contribution. The amount of such contribution shall not exceed the current statutory rate of 7% of the unit member’s salary which qualifies for such contribution. This section shall apply only to unit members who qualify for and participate in the Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS). Direct Deposit: Direct Deposit is offered. Payroll checks can be deposited directly into a bank account specified by the employee. American Fidelity 125 Plan: The 125 Plan allows employees to pre-tax some of their out-of-pocket expenses, with regard to medical/dental benefit premiums, non-reimbursed medial/dental costs, or dependent care expense, through a voluntary payroll deduction. American Fidelity also offers a 403(b) tax-deferred annuity which helps you add to your vehicle of a wellplanned retirement.
