Professional Development Collection Userid: edsum2005 Education Full Text Canadian Education (CBCA) Password: journal Where? Go to http://library.queensu.ca/webedu/conted.htm to enter one of these databases. You will scroll down to the section entitled “How Do I Access Journal Articles?”, click on the database you wish you use, and enter the userid and password when prompted. Instructions for searching the databases can be found at http://library.queensu.ca/webedu/journals/ You can also use the above userid and password to access the NoveList database, -- a fun database for booklists & reading ideas for all ages. Set up the Queen's Webproxy Service by following these steps: 1. Open your web browser (Internet Explorer is preferred). 2. Click on Tools (it's on the top menu) – Internet Options – Connections (it's a tab). If using a dial-up internet connection, click on Settings OR If using a high-speed/cable connection, click on LAN Settings. 3. Under Automatic configuration – no boxes should be checked. 4. Under Proxy server, check Use a proxy server. Address: webproxy.queensu.ca Port: 8080 5. Click on OK to close the Settings window. Click on OK again to close the Internet Options window. 6. Close ALL web browsers now. Then, open your web browser again. You may get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" screen. That's OK. Type your qlink userid and password in the Enter Network Password box. Problems? Phone & email contact numbers are on page 1. Userid & Password: is your post (for instructors) or your qlink (for students) userid and password On site students will need to activate their qlink accounts at http://www.its.queensu.ca/pubs/howto/getid.html.
