TS 3.2 : Advances in Collaborative Logistics Chairs: Mario Guajardo, NHH Norwegian School of Economics, Norway and Sihem Ben Jouida, Institut Supérieur de Gestion, University of Tunis, Tunisia Abstract: Collaboration among different agents (companies, organizations) is an effective way to improve logistics operations in supply chain. Agents can benefit, for example, from sharing transportation systems or by pooling inventory at a shared warehouse. Besides reducing costs or improving profits, collaboration often renders other benefits in comparison to when agents act separately, such as improving the environmental impact of logistics operations. This thematic session looks for contributions on collaborative logistics. Both theoretical and practical contributions are equally welcome. Specific topics include: cost allocation, profit sharing, coalition structure, inventory pooling, collaboration in vehicle routing and traveling salesman problems, joint distribution, collaborative transportation planning, leadership in coalitions, sustaining the stability of coalitions, execution of collaborative plans, dealing with uncertainty in collaborative alliances. Due to the multidisciplinary scope of this topic, which often involves concepts from cooperative game theory, contributions from economics with potential impact on collaborative logistics are also welcome, including new results on stability, new cost allocation methods or new properties on existent methods.
