While doing this, we will be active and have fun. It will be important that we practice safe ways to use equipment properly. We will work on staying physically fit and develop skills that will be carried throughout our life. CONSEQUENCES FOR MISBEHAVIOR 1ST OFFENSE--- STOP AND THINK! 2ND OFFENSE--- TIME OUT FROM 5-13 MINUTES (BASED ON AGE) RD 3 OFFENSE--- LOSS OF P.E. FOR THE DAY & NOTIFY PARENTS/GUARDIAN OFFICE REFERRAL FOR SEVERE DISRUPTIONS STUDENT CONFERENCE WHEN NEEDED *TIME-OUT MISCONDUCTS WILL AFFECT CONDUCT AND PARTICIPATION GRADES* ILLNESS POLICY IF YOUR CHILD IS SICK OR CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION, PLEASE WRITE A NOTE TO THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. A DOCTOR’S NOTE WILL BE REQUIRED IF THE CHILD CANNOT PARTICIPATE FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS. ATTIRE FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION THE PROPER SHOES ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM FOR CLASS. YOUR CHILD NEEDS SNEAKERS OR RUBBER SOLED, CLOSED TOE SHOES. BOOTS OR DRESS SHOES ARE INAPPROPRIATE FOR THE TYPE OF ACTIVITIES YOUR CHILD WILL BE PARTICIPATING DURING PHYSICAL EDUCATION. FAILURE TO CONSISTENTLY WEAR THE PROPER FOOTWEAR MAY EFFECT YOUR CHILD’S GRADE. PLEASE SEE THE DISTRICT’S POLICY ON THE DRESS CODE AS WELL. IT IS ADVISABLE FOR GILRS TO WEAR SHORTS UNDER THEIR DRESSES OR SKIRTS SO THAT THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE DURING ACTIVITIES. ALSO, PLEASE LABEL ALL SWEATERS, COATS, JACKETS, HATS AND WATER BOTTLES.
